We are specialists in proof load testing and pressure testing - two of the most safety-critical disciplines in industrial inspection.
Proof Load Testing
A Proof Load Test is required upon the installation of any lifting equipment before the item is brought into service. The test verifies that the equipment can safely support its rated Working Load Limit (WLL) by applying a controlled overload - typically 125% of the SWL - to confirm structural integrity.
Our engineers carry out proof load tests to the applicable British Standards and issue certified test reports on completion. Testing is carried out on site with minimal disruption to your operations.

Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
Hydrostatic pressure testing is the standard method for verifying the structural integrity and leak resistance of pressure vessels, pipework, hoses, and associated systems. Water is used as the test medium and pressurised to a level above the maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) to confirm the system is sound.
ITC Testing carries out hydrostatic tests to British and international standards, providing a full written record of test conditions and results. Required for compliance under PSSR 2000 and for pre-commissioning checks on new systems.
